Claire Simon is the Program Director for Love Heals: The Alison Gertz Foundation for AIDS Eduction. She is an member of the Task Force on HIV Education in New York City Public Schools.

Allen James is Executive Director of YouthBASE. YouthBASE trains high school students to become peer educators and supports their HIV and STD prevention efforts through a variety of school- and community-based programs. YouthBASE also works with parents, educators, school administrators, public health professionals and community-based organizations to develop creative, dynamic strategies for stopping the spread of adolescent HIV.

Mr. James was raised in New York City, attended Hampton University on an athletic scholarship, and the University of Colorado as well as CUNY. As Deputy Executive Director of the Fortune Society, he developed innovative service programs that addressed addiction and recovery, long-term unemployment, prison recidivism, and care for persons with AIDS. In the 1990's Mr. James was Executive Director of Playing To Win (PTW), an advocacy and service organization that strives to make technology and science education available to inner city children.
