Apply to become a Key Contact of the HIV Prevention Justice Alliance

The HIV Prevention Justice Alliance (HIV PJA) is a network of organizations and individuals advocating for effective and just HIV prevention policies for the United States. 

We grew out of the successful 2007 Prevention Justice Mobilization, which united hundreds of groups across the country at the intersection of HIV/AIDS, human rights, and struggles for social, racial and economic justice.  

The HIV PJA is an organizational-membership alliance. This means that our members are organizations, with each organization asked to make a commitment to mobilizing on prevention justice issues.

We are asking individuals who support the HIV PJA to become members of the CHAMP Network. As members of the CHAMP Network, you are then invited to apply to be a Key Contact of the HIV PJA.

WHAT IS A HIV PJA KEY CONTACT?

Key Contacts are individual members of the CHAMP Network who help further the goals and mobilizations of the HIV PJA.

We ask Key Contacts to make a specific commitment to getting your local community prepared to be a part of HIV PJA mobilizations. For example, you could make a
"phone tree" to help your community act quickly when its time to take action on a HIV PJA issue. Or you could bring HIV PJA briefings to weekly staff or support group meetings, planning councils, or faith events. 

There's lots of ways to help. We'll just ask you to let us know how you can contribute, and how we can support you in doing so. And you can help us by getting your contacts into the loop of the HIV PJA, and by getting more organizations to become members.

To help you succeed, we'll provide quarterly briefing packets and other materials.

And to help us all succeed, we'll ask you to add your voice to our HIV PJA policy agenda and mobilization plans, inviting you to participate in our quarterly planning calls.
