Community HIV/AIDS Mobilization Project

CHAMP’s work is organized into four issue-specific projects and policy advocacy campaigns: 

• The HIV Prevention Justice Alliance links local, state and national groups in federal advocacy, including efforts to establish a National AIDS Strategy.

• The Prevention Research Advocacy Working Group promotes HIV/AIDS research to decrease new infections and improve the lives of people living with HIV.

• Project UNSHACKLE supports local campaigns and national efforts at the intersection of HIV and mass imprisonment.

• Fight Homophobia to Fight HIV confronts the homophobia, transphobia and gender bias at the core of the epidemic.

Our project areas are linked through Strategy Lab, our interdisciplinary, grassroots think-tank for shaping HIV research, policies and programs and building the movement for HIV Prevention Justice.
