How It All Began
Project UNSHACKLE's Launch at Stony Point

Project UNSHACKLE was launched in May 2008 through our strategic planning conference sponsored by the John M. Lloyd AIDS Project at Stony Point Center.

This conference brought together the unique mix of formerly imprisoned people, pepole living with HIV, grassroots leaders, researchers, HIV policy advocates, service providers, prison abolitionists, academics, coalition veterans and other social justice organizers that continues to guide Project UNSHACKLE's work today.
