How We Do It
Building a Locally-Rooted National Movement

Sharing Best Practices

We bring together individuals and organizations working at the intersection of HIV and imprisonment to share best practices.

  • Our HIV and Imprisonment Strategy List unites people from across the country to work on emerging issues and research areas. Join today!
  • Our State-by-State Resource Directory covers organizations working on HIV and imprisonment.

Providing Skills-Building Resources

We ensure individuals and organizations have the resources they need to engage with the policy issues that impact their work at the front lines of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

Building Community Partnerships

We work with individuals and organizations to provide the technical support needed to launch grassroots campaigns on locally critical policy issues.

  • Our first year-long Partnerships were established with organizations in Chicago, Philadelphia and New Orleans.
  • We are currently gearing up for our second round of year-long partnerships.

Taking Local and National Action!

  • We support our local partners in mobilization on campaigns to confront HIV and imprisonment, while linking them to others who are working on similar campaigns.
  • We collaborate with CHAMP's HIV Prevention Justice Alliance and national allies on work to change Federal policies.
